The Warrane Community Garden is a project of the Warrane Mornington Neighbourhood Centre. The Garden won the 2023 Permaculture Champion Award at the National Community Gardens Australia Awards.

Vision - Our garden is a beautiful mix of food production, art, play and cultural diversity that has a place for everyone.
Mission statement - The Warrane Community Garden provides opportunities for social connection, skill sharing and education, within our productive and joyful food growing space.

Garden Guidelines
To help all garden visitors feel welcome we ask:

Pets - Please ensure pets are on leash when walking through the garden and be sure to keep them off the garden beds and the growing mounds which also have food plants.

Children - Please ensure children visiting the garden are supervised by an adult.

General - The garden is an alcohol, drug, & smoke free zone. Smoking is not allowed in the garden or within 3 m of garden entry points.

The garden is a great place to meet people, grow, learn, share, hang out and much more. If you would like to know more , have a bit of extra time, spare seeds or plants, an idea for an activity or event, or would like to meet some other people in your Community we would love to hear from you!
If you see us in the garden come in and say hello or you can:

  • Attend a monthly working bee on the third Sunday of every month 9am-12pm
    (please bring a cup, your garden gloves, and a favourite weeding tool if you have one!
